Welcome the Honors Bess H. Ward Travel Grant Application
Bess H. Ward Honors Travel Scholarships are awarded each semester to University Honors Program students who are actively in good standing with the FSU University Honors Program. Only students who are participating in programs coordinated by FSU International Programs, Global Exchange, Global Scholars or a qualifying Honors-sponsored travel (such as Honors field trips that require fees) are eligible to receive this scholarship. This scholarship is a one-time only award and is to be used to defray the expenses incurred during one semester (fall, spring, or summer) during which an Honors student travels for an approved activity. Students must take at least the minimum number of credit hours required by the sponsoring program.
Eligibility requirements:
- Minimum 3.2 GPA
- 9 hours of honors coursework completed by the start of the travel semester
- Be admitted to FSU International Programs, Global Exchange, Global Scholars or qualifying Honors-sponsored travel (e.g. Honors field trips that require fees).
Once the award has been processed by the Honors Program Office, it can take several weeks after the start of the semester for the funds to be disbursed into the student's account. Students should be prepared to cover all expenses out of pocket until the money is disbursed by Financial Aid.
